Fouke wins state shooting sports championship

A team from Fouke High School won the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission’s Youth Shooting Sports state championship last week.   Nashville was represented with teams participating in both the Junior and senior competitions.  One of the Nashville Jr. teams made it into the round of 16, with the other local team finishing in the top 32 squads. 

The state’s first youth shooting sports championship was held in 2007.  The annual competition is funded with the help of grants through the Wildlife Restoration Program.
