Franchise Tax collection up in City of Nashville

The Nashville City Council held their regular monthly meeting yesterday.

Finance Director Kimberly Green gave a report on revenue and expenditures for the month of October.

Green stated the total revenue was $797,191.41 and total expenditures was $667,102.13. The revenue exceeded the expenditures by $130,089.28. Green said that was due in part to the third quarter franchise tax fee, which was 79,902.40. 

Green also talked about extraordinary expenses for the month of October 2022.

A motion was made by Freddie Horne and seconded by Donna Harwell to approve the financial report for the month of October.
