Free Lunches for All Students
Nashville School District officials announced yesterday that all students will be able to eat lunch for free. Earlier this week, Arkansas Education Secretary Johnny Key said school students in the state were getting the meals for free due to waiver extensions from the U.S.D.A. Nashville Superintendent Doug Graham made that official for Nashville students Thursday morning, by saying the district’s Seamless Summer Program has been extended until December 31st.
Superintendent Graham also reminded parents that they will still need to fill out the paperwork for the free or reduced meal program because the district’s funding for the meals comes for a variety of different resources.
