Glenwood Man arrested for Fraudulent Prescription
On January 24th, Chief Michael Lesher of the Glenwood Police Department was contacted by an employee with Buck’s Pharmacy.
According to the affidavit Lesher was informed by an employee that Buck’s Pharmacy received a fraudulent prescription that was received via fax. The forged prescription was supposedly authorized by Dr. Shunzhong Bao from the St Vincent Diagnostic Clinic in Little Rock. The Diagnostic Clinic stated that the prescription was not written by them, nor did they have record of the patient listed on the prescription.
It was reported that the address listed on the prescription was the address to Ouachita Mountain Inn located in Glenwood. The employee of Buck’s Pharmacy was then told to contact the Glenwood Police Department if someone came to pick up the prescription.
On January 30th Officers were informed that an individual was attempting to pick up the prescription at Buck’s Pharmacy. The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Alec Aguilar of Glenwood. Aguilar was then detained by Chief Lesher.
As reported, Aguilar told officers that he was door dashing for extra money. Officers reported that Aguilar couldn’t provide any information of the person who asked him to get the prescription. Aguilar was transported to the Pike County Detention Center and remanded to the custody of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office. Aguilar was charged for Controlled Substances-Fraudulent Practices.
