Glenwood resident arrested for drug possession
On December 31st, Pike County Deputy Chance Reid observed a female walking beside the road in the Fairgrounds parking lot. As reported Deputy Reid pulled up to the female after noticing that she was under the influence of narcotics. The suspect was identified as 38 year Cristie Lynn Pitchford of Glenwood.
Deputy Reid asked Pitchford if she had any narcotics on her and she stated no. Reid contacted Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Gates to come assist him along with his K9.
It was reported that upon questioning, Pitchford confessed that she had a little meth in her bag. Reid then confiscated a clear plastic jar that had a small clear baggie inside of a bigger clear bag that contained a crystal-like substance known as methamphetamine.
Pitchford was arrested and charged with possession of scheduled 1 or 2 controlled substances.
