Scrapper Football In Dead Week Period

The Nashville Scrapper football team has reached the dead week of the summer workout schedule.

The Arkansas Activities Association requires athletes be given time off during the summer. Due to COVID-19 this year, individual school districts were left to make the decision on when that dead week would be. Nashville officials chose July 3rd through 10th.

Coach Mike Volarvich said his team has shown improvements from their first workout. Next week, players return for the same schedule they had during June.

Even though no one knows if football will be allowed this fall, coach Volarvich says his team is preparing as if the season will be played as normal.

Once the team returns to practice next week, it will be only three weeks before the start of the normal fall camp begins.

The regular season is scheduled to begin with an August 28th home game against Pleasant Grove, Texas.
