Greenwood Jr Bulldogs Dominate Nashville Jr. Scrappers in High-Scoring Affair
The Nashville Junior Scrappers played their first game Thursday night on the Hill against the Junior Muleriders of Greenwood. The Jr Muleriders showcased their offensive skills and defensive resilience in a commanding 54-21 victory over the Nashville Jr. Scrappers.
In the first quarter, Greenwood took an early lead with a touchdown, setting the score at 6-0. However, the Jr. Scrappers responded with a strong second-quarter performance, scoring 7 points to narrowly edge out Greenwood. This left Nashville with a slim 7-6 lead midway through the game.
Greenwood regained control in the second quarter, scoring two more touchdowns to pull ahead with a 19-7 advantage. Nashville managed to score another touchdown, closing the gap to 19-14. However, Greenwood was not to be outdone and added more points to their tally, bringing the halftime score to a decisive 34-14.
The second half saw Greenwood continue their offensive onslaught. The team scored three additional touchdowns, solidifying their dominance throughout the game. Nashville could only respond with one more touchdown, resulting in a final score of 54-21.
