Hausman sentenced to 25 years in ADC for Attempted 1st Degree Murder

Four people were sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Corrections during a busy day of proceedings yesterday in Howard County Circuit Court. The largest prison term was given to 25 year old Matthew Hausman of Nashville. Hausman was sentenced to 20 years in prison on a charge of Attempted First Degree Murder. Deputies say Hausman was charged with shooting a residence last fall and then setting the home on fire, knowing the occupant was inside at the time.
Other prison sentences issued Wednesday included a 12 year sentence, with six years suspended, for 28 year old Kendall Rourk of Nashville. Rourk was charged with First Degree Battery.
37 year old Kevin Wright of Nashville was sentenced to five years in prison, plus a four year suspended sentence on drug delivery charges, and 24 year old Paris Wilkerson, of Nashville, was sentenced to two years in prison and given a two year suspended sentence. Wilkerson had been charged with Fleeing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, D.W.I, and Reckless Driving.
