HCCC Executive Director speaks at Rotary about Telethon Event
The Nashville Rotary Club/Howard County Children’s Center annual telethon is Tuesday, May 30 from 5 to 7 pm in the children’s center cafeteria.
Howard County Children’s Center Executive Director Rose Ray informed the Nashville Rotary Club that the center is funded at $5 a day per child and adult client who attends. She said these funds can only be used to pay staff salaries. Ray said the center raises funds for capitol improvements through three yearly fundraisers. They are the radiothon, a bass tournament and a golf tournament.
Ray stated funds are used for the betterment of the facilities and services that are provided to the clients of the Howard County Children’s Center, including computers, educational material, exercise equipment, books and therapy equipment.

Rainbow Learning and Therapy Center director, Lisa Morphew announced they had received a approval for a summer program for school age children between 6 to 13 years of age.
