HCCC Recyling Operation No Longer Accepting Clothing
The Howard County Children’s Center has made a change as to what recyclable items are accepted. Yesterday, Children’s Center Director Rose Ray announced the center will no longer accept clothes, shoes, purses, belts or hats for recycling. The change is effective immediately.
Ray didn’t rule out the center possibly accepting the items again at some point in the future.
Yesterday’s announcement was the second time in the past few months the center has discontinued a recycling product. Late last year, the center also stopped collecting plastic items.
Currently, the list of items individuals can take to the children’s center for recycling includes newspaper, office waste, cardboard and aluminum cans.
