Higher Water Rates In Effect In Nashville
The Nashville City Council has approved an ordinance this week amending water rates. The new ordinance reflects the three percent increase approved by aldermen at their November meeting. The ordinance puts the rate for citizens 65 years of age and older at 7.19 cents and also allows for the rate to increase one and a half percent every two years after a review by council members. The increase went into effect Wednesday.
