HMH continues to make changes as a result of cyber incident

The Howard Memorial Hospital Board of Directors held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday.
CFO Bill Craig provided an overview of the financial report for the month of December 2022.

Another factor that Craig wanted to present to the board is the stimulus money that will be on their budget for 2023.

Craig even mentioned the Cyber event that took place on December 4th of last year, the investigation, and how they removed access to vendors outside of the hospital.

Craig stated the collectible revenue, which is the amount they expect to be paid, was almost $7800 above budget and that related to the fact that they are continuing their work on denial prevention along with staying ahead of the payers and fighting for the dollars they are entitled to be paid.
