Hope man arrested for drug possession
On February 23rd, 2024, Nashville K9 Officer Greg Parker conducted a traffic stop on a tan Buick for no license plate illumination.
According to the affidavit, Parker reported that he saw an object come out of the driver’s side window as the vehicle was pulling over. Parker made contact with the driver identified as 36-year-old Obrion L Mallory of Hope.
Officers then recovered what was thrown out of the window and it turned out to be a plastic wrapper from a cigarette pack with a portion of a white paper towel inside.
During the search of the car, Officer Parker reportedly located a pill bottle labeled calcium which held an unidentified liquid that was later identified as ecstasy. Mallory was arrested and transported to the Howard County Detention Facility. Mallory was charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, furnishing, possessing, or using prohibited articles, and tampering with physical evidence.
