Hornbeck Charged with Sexual Assault in Pike County

A former coach in the Murfreesboro School District has been charged with multiple counts of Sexual Assault. 37 year old Charles Hornbeck, who now lives at Springdale, has been charged this week with five counts of First Degree Sexual Assault and one count of Second Degree Sexual Assault. Prosecutors say the charges are the result of alleged sexual contact Hornebck had with three victims during a four year time span. All of the victims were under 21 years of age. In addition to Hornbeck being employed by the school district, authorities say he also served as a church youth director and knew his victims from that youth group.
Prosecutors say the investigation into the case began in August of last year when the Child Abuse Hotline of the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division faxed a report to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department.
