Hornets host Gators tonight

Mineral Springs will close out their conference season at home against the Foreman Gators. The Hornets are 3-5 on the season after falling to the Outlaws 24-18 last week.

Head Coach David Bennett said it was a great game, but he was disappointed with the final score.

The Foreman Gators are also 3-5 on the season. Bennett said Foreman is one of the most talented teams in the 7-2A conference.

Bennett said depending on this week’s outcome, the Hornets could be the fourth seed in the conference and they would possibly play Carlisle in the first round of the playoffs.

This week’s game is scheduled for Thursday night at Mineral Springs. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.
