Howard County Goes Over 30 In Active COVID Cases
Howard county’s active COVID-19 count has topped 30 cases for the first time. The latest Arkansas Department of Health numbers show the county with 31 cases at the present time. There have been a total of 82 cases locally. 50 people are listed as being recovered. Friday evening, the health department also listed county with its first COVID-19 death.
Nashville mayor Billy Ray Jones is encouraging residents to continue efforts to help stop the spread of the virus.
Jones said social-distancing and the wearing of masks seem to be effective ways to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Sevier County continues to have the most active cases around the area at the current time with 160. Polk County is showing a dozen active cases, Hempstead county has six while Little River and Pike counties have one active case each according to the state health department.
