Howard County Quorum Court June meeting

The Howard County Quorum Court held their regular monthly meeting yesterday. 

According to Treasurer Sherri Mixon’s report for the month of May, sales tax for County General, Road Department, County Jail, Sanitation Department, the Hospital, and Cossatot is up from the previous month. The Treasurer account balance shows a negative 16,500 dollars but Mixon stated that they have sent in for a reimbursement. She added that they have $2,212,149.19 in the ARP FUND.

Mixon also reported that right now at Diamond Bank on their County General Fund they are drawing 3.5 interest on their shares. 

Development Director of Howard County Vanessa Weeks provided an update to the quorum.

In conclusion, Justices of the Peace approved a motion to pass an ordinance that was in regard to the 2024 Howard County Operating Budget Ordinance.
