Howard County With Only Light Voter Turnout
Early voter turnout has been extremely light in Howard County since the process began a week ago. As of late Monday afternoon, Howard County Clerk Keri Teague said only 175 people have voted so far. Teague said that represents just two and a half percent of the county’s registered voters.
Early voting continues from 8:00 – 6:00 through Friday at the Carter Day Center in Nashville. The early voting process is also made available Saturday from 10:00 – 4:00 in Nashville. Early votes may be cast at the Nashville center Monday from 8:00 – 5:00. There will also be a voting center available Monday in Dierks at the community center from 10:00 – 4:00.
Election day will be a week from today. Polls will be open next Tuesday from 7:30 to 7:30 at various locations throughout the county.
