Howard Memorial Hospital Board Meeting

Howard Memorial Hospital board met Thursday evening in a quick session. CEO, Debra Wright, reported 4 employees to have tested positive for the month of July. She also reported to the board a task force has been assigned to develop an implementation plan addressing requirements of OSHA, regarding occupational exposure within the hospital. Wright gave statistics on transmissibility of the Delta Variant stating that before the average person realizes they are sick with the virus they on average infect 8 other people. Making this 3 times more infectious than the original strain. The board also recognized Margie Green as she attended her final meeting last night – honoring her with a plaque presented by Debra Wright.
