Howard Memorial Hospital Outlook On COVID-19

Wednesday morning, Dr. Chadwick Gaddis of Howard Memorial Hospital updated Southwest Arkansas Radio with the latest information concerning COVID-19 in the area.

Gaddis reported that social distancing is working and we are flattening the curve here in Arkansas.

Gaddis stated that Howard Memorial has a plan if the hospital’s capacity is overrun.

Gaddis said the local hospital is a 20 bed facility but could expand to 50 or 60 beds before additional space would be needed.

Nurse practitioner Michelle Boone of Compassion Health and Wellness Clinic said they have tested several people but all of the results have been negative. She stated that her clinic has plenty of tests if someone is symptomatic.
