Howard Memorial Hospital Unveils New Communication Boards at Nashville City Park

On Thursday, the Howard Memorial Pediatric Therapy Center, alongside administrative members of Howard Memorial Hospital, held a special event at Nashville City Park to unveil their new communication boards.

The boards, which are now installed at key areas within the park, are designed to assist children with speech and communication challenges by providing symbols and visuals to help express their needs and thoughts.

Lorenn Haskins, a representative from the Pediatric Therapy Center, explained the purpose behind the new initiative.

Haskins also shared where families and visitors can find the boards throughout the park.

In closing, Haskins expressed gratitude to several groups who helped make the project possible, including the Pink Ladies of HMH, staff members of the Pediatric Therapy Center, and other community contributors.

The communication boards are now accessible to the public, offering a new resource to promote inclusive play and communication for all children visiting the park.
