Intent to deliver charges filed against Texarkana man
Felony drug charges have been filed against a Texarkana man. 26 year old Nakahless Dunlap was arrested last month during a traffic stop that led Howard County Sheriff’s Deputies to the discovery of suspected marijuana and more than 300 ecstasy pills. Authorities say Dunlap was the driver of a vehicle stopped by Deputy Trent Coffman on Highway 355 for having a non-working headlight. During a conversation with Dunlap, Deputy Coffman said he detected the odor of marijuana. Reports said Dunlap told the deputy he had been smoking marijuana, but there was also some within the vehicle’s glove compartment. Deputy Coffman said he also recovered the suspected ecstasy pills within the glove compartment.
Dunlap; was arrested and transported to the Howard County. He is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
