It’s Election Day

Today is election day. There are four voting center locations in Howard County, according to County Clerk Keri Teague:

There are no locally contested races on the ballot for today’s election, but voters have the presidential race, a U.S. Senator’s race, and the 4th congressional seat to consider, along with three statewide issues dealing with proposals for a highway tax, reconfiguring term limits for state lawmakers & changing the initiative process, the number of votes required for the legislative process, and publication requirements.
Three thousand four hundred eighty people went to the polls during the early voting process. Teague said that represents 47.8 percent of the county’s registered voters.

Polls will be open today until 7:30.
