Scrappers defeat Bobcats to improve to 18-2 on the season

A four RBI afternoon by Scrapper baseball player Caiden Erwin helped secure Nashville a 12 to 7 home conference win against Hope Monday afternoon, as the Scrappers honored the town’s former semi-pro team, the Cubs. Nashville took an early 2 to nothing lead after one inning of play. However, that lead was short lived, as the Bobcats scored four runs of their own in the top half of the 2nd inning. That would be the last time Hope would have the advantage, as the Scrappers scored three times in the bottom of the second inning.
In addition to the four runs Erwin knocked in yesterday, he also hit his first home run of the season in Monday’s game.
Kason Willard pitched five innings for the win. Tyler Beene and Slade Slayton covered the final two innings in relief.
Yesterday’s win improves the Scrappers to 18 and 2 on the season.
Nashville is back in action today against De Queen at Wilson Park and B99.5 will have the broadcast.
Those same two teams will also meet in softball this afternoon at the Nashville City Park. KNAS 105.5 will bring you that game.
