JPs of Howard County approve funding for DHC Director for Howard County

The Howard County Quorum Court held their regular monthly meeting yesterday. 

During the meeting, UA Cossatot Chancellor Dr. Steve Cole presented to the JPs a job opportunity for a Developing Howard County Foundation-Director in which the employee will initiate, develop, and support economic activities in Howard County, with specific importance placed on the Husqvarna Project.

Economic Development Member Gary Dan Futrell said he can see lots of value in this opportunity and he’s willing to take the necessary steps to getting there.

The total cost to fund this position would be $81,000 dollars. Cole said once they get things up and running, they will start advertising for this open position.  In conclusion, Justices of the Peace approved a motion to participate in funding that will help create an Economic Development Director for Howard County.
