Several Thousand Deer Harvested In Area Last Year

More than two thousand 500 deer were killed by hunters last year in Howard county. According to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, a little over 14 hundred of those were buck deer. Pike county reported the most deer harvested in 2019 with nearly 37 hundred deer being taken. For Hempstead county, the deer harvest last year fell just short of three thousand.

Statewide, the number of deer harvested last year was above 183 thousand 500.
