Local 4-H Members Compete at Arkansas State Livestock Judging Contest
Three Nashville High School students have participated in the Senior Division of the Arkansas State Livestock Judging Contest. Molly Parker, Sara Sweat and Savannah Jackson represented Hempstead County Four-H during the event. Individually, Jackson and Sweat finished first and second, respectively. The Hempstead County group also won the team competition. In the cattle category, Parker won first place and team wise, the Hempstead County team was second in Cattle and 4th in the Swine division.
During the sheep competition, Jackson finished third individually, and her team was also third in team standings.
Sweat placed first in the individual category of the goat competition and her team was also first.
The remaining area of competition was Reasons, where Sweat was 5th individually and Hempstead County placed 4th as a team.
