Local Courts Still Facing Delays Because Of COVID-19

The COVID-19 health emergency has put most of the state’s court systems in a holding pattern. District court cases continue to be reset while there is limited activity in circuit court.

This week in Howard County Circuit Court, mental evaluations were ordered in two cases. A total of 16 other cases were given trial dates of August 25th with pre-trial hearings scheduled for August 5th.

The Arkansas State Supreme Court has issued an order that effectively limits court proceedings until further notice.
