Mineral Springs approves city budget

Monday night, the Mineral Springs City Council passed their 2021 budget by a unanimous vote during a special called meeting. According to Mineral Springs Recorder/Treasurer, April Teague, the 2021 budget includes $890,000 in revenue and expenditures of $852,000.

Council members approved the proposed budget following a discussion over employee compensation.

The proposed budget contained a 3 percent raise for all full-time and hourly employees. However, council members discussed the percentage and then voted to approve a 2 percent increase.
