Mineral Springs Man Arrested in Nashville for Aggravated Assault Charge

A Mineral Springs man has been arrested on an aggravated assault charge. The Nashville Police Department took a report of shots fired on Highway 27 on October 18th, occurring in front of the Toland Heights Fire Department. The victim stated that he saw a vehicle belonging to his ex-girlfriend pulling out of EZ Mart at 3:40 a.m. He said he followed them out of the parking lot and started chasing them on Hwy 27 towards Mineral Springs. He said he then saw a black male lean out the drivers window, and shoot at him, striking his front windshield. The suspect was later identified as 31 year old Demario Scoggins of Mineral Springs. Investigator Tim Bowlin said that Scoggins was later arrested for aggravated assault and is currently in jail on $25,000 bond.
