Mineral Springs School Board approves 4-Day week for 2021-2022 school year
The Mineral Springs School Board approved a 4-day school week for the 2021-2022 school year.
Elementary principal Stacy Gauldin informed board members that other districts who have gone to the 4-day school week have gained students, improved attendance for both students and faculty and improved test scores.
Superintendent Billy Lee said it will be a way the district can provide a quality education to students.
Lee said this move is not to save money.
The district will offer 8-periods a day and all core classes will be scheduled for the morning blocks.
