Mineral Springs School board approves student handbook

The Mineral Springs School Board convened for their regular monthly meeting on Monday evening. The board approved the resignations of Ruby Dean, the Principal of Mineral Springs Elementary School, and Cassandra Hamilton, a special education teacher.

President William Dixon proposed a motion to drop the ‘interim’ tag from JonDavid Amerson’s job title, a motion that board member Mike Erwin seconded. Therefore, the title will change from interim superintendent to Superintendent. The board unanimously passed the motion.

Additionally, the board passed motions to approve an addendum to the salary schedule, the milk and food bids, the CTE Grant, and the installation of a new sound system in the stadium. They also approved the Mineral Springs Student Handbook and the Mineral Springs Technology Handbook.
