MS City Council passes 2023 budget

Monday night, the Mineral Springs City Council passed their 2023 budget by a 4 to 1 vote during a special called meeting.

Total revenue for the Street Budget will be $101,020.00 and expenses $72,500.00. Total General Revenue will be $448,300.00 and proposed grants will be $4,402,000.00.

Council members approved the proposed budget following a discussion over employee compensation and job duties.

A motion was made by council member Frankie Harris and seconded by Earle Hadden to give a $1500 raise to Recorder/Treasurer, Denise Juniel.

In other news, Municipal Waterworks of Mineral Springs can receive bill payments via debit or credit cards.This can be done in person, by phone, or online (fees will apply).
