Murfreesboro woman arrested for drug possession

A Murfreesboro woman has been arrested. According to the affidavit, on Saturday June 1st Officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department responded to the Pine-View Apartments in reference to a crystal-like substance found in a Montego Red cigarette pack.

It was reported that the complainant informed officers that a female and a male that she knew had come by her residence and that the two had given her a pack of cigarettes but after she finished the pack that’s when she noticed a cellophane wrapper that contained a crystal-like substance in the bottom of the pack and the complainant then called for an officer. The male subject was identified as David Fugitt, and the female subject was identified as 69-year-old Paula Marie Hill. 

On that following Tuesday June 4th at approximately 7pm Officer Mackenzie Vermillion with MPD reportedly noticed Hill sitting at the corner of Gypsy Underground parking lot and west 13th street. Vermillion then pulled alongside Hill and asked for permission to search her bags. After the officer reportedly received consent, Vermillion located a glass pipe with a white residue inside of the purse along with a glass cylinder with a metal cap that contained a crystal-like substance inside. 

Hill was then placed under arrest and was transported to the Pike County Detention Facility. Hill was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
