Hempstead County Seeking To Identify Skeletal Remains

Skeletal remains, believed to be those of a human, were found Sunday afternoon near Hope. Hempsetead County Sheriff James Singleton said boys looking for a hunting location discovered the remains and contacted the sheriff’s office. With the help of the Arkansas State Police, the remains were recovered and are being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification and cause of death ruling. Authorities say the remains may be those of a missing person who lived near yesterday’s discovery.
