Nashville FFA Members In State Competition

Nashville FFA members, Sara Sweat and Molly Parker became the first FFA members locally to qualify for the state Career and Leadership Development contests in the past twenty years.

Sweat won both the Job Interview and the Discussion Meet Contests where she was awarded one thousand dollars in scholarship money for herself and an additional one thousand dollars for the Nashville FFA chapter. She also placed second in Prepared Public Speaking.

Parker placed third in Extemporaneous Speaking.

To qualify for state,Sweat and Parker had to advance from sub-Area as well as district. Sweat will be the national representative for the state of Arkansas in both Job Interview and Discussion.
