Nashville man arrested for aggravated assault
A Nashville man has been arrested for physically assaulting his girlfriend. According to the affidavit Nashville Patrol Sergeant Ty Basiliere, Nashville Patrol Officer David Shelby, and Howard County Deputy Sheriff Aaron Quick responded to this domestic disturbance at 911 Carver Circle on June 26th.
The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Kartavious Eason, who officers spotted lying on the living room floor holding the arms of his girlfriend. It was reported that officers had to physically separate Eason from his girlfriend. Eason’s girlfriend reportedly told officers that Eason was talking funny, was aggressively pushing her, and allegedly put his hands around her throat. It was also reported that Sergeant Basiliere took photographs of Eason’s girlfriend’s injuries and was included with Eason’s file as evidence. Eason was placed into a patrol unit for transport to the Howard County Detention Facility.
Officers also reportedly located a glass smoke pipe with residue believed to be methamphetamine in Eason’s front, right side pants pocket. Officers also learned that Eason is a convicted felon on parole, is currently out on bond charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug paraphernalia, and that Eason entered a guilty plea to domestic battery in the 3rd degree in December of 2022.
Eason was charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member and possession of drug paraphernalia in Howard County.
