Nashville Man Arrested for Domestic Battery After Altercation with Pregnant Girlfriend

On July 25th, Officer Jarrett Rogers of the Nashville Police Department responded to a call at 714 Graves St, Apt 121, following reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found a woman with visible injuries, including bruising on her left arm and redness with a knot on her forehead.

The victim, who is eight months pregnant with the child of her live-in boyfriend, 24-year-old Ernest Bingham, reported that Bingham had assaulted her the previous day. According to her statement, Bingham struck her in the head with a broom handle during an argument. On the day of the incident, the altercation escalated, and Bingham kicked her, resulting in additional bruising on her arm.

While Officer Rogers interviewed the victim, other officers located Bingham walking behind the apartment complex and took him into custody. Bingham was then transported to the Howard County Jail, where he faces charges of felony domestic battery in the third degree.
