Nashville man arrested for internet stalking of a child
A Nashville man was arrested last month after Investigator Jason McDonald used his undercover social media account which portrays as a 14 year old female to catch sexual predators who prey on children. According to the affidavit 72 year old Gary Eugene Johnson sent several messages to the undercover social media account and it continued casual in nature but Johnson reportedly knew he could get into trouble and wanted to keep their conversations a secret. It was also reported that during the conversation Johnson would make sexual comments and would send several pictures and videos of himself to what he thought was a 14 year old girl.
As reported on August 25th Johnson asked to meet up at an undisclosed location and once, he had arrived at this location he sent a message to the undercover account. Investigator McDonald observed a blue truck and conducted a license plate check on the vehicle to confirm it was Johnson. Deputies then reportedly arrived on the scene and took Johnson into custody. Johnson was charged with internet stalking of a child and computer child pornography.
