Dierks School Board Approves New Hires at Special Meeting

The Dierks School Board recently held a special meeting to make key personnel decisions ahead of the 2025–2026 school year.

The meeting was called to order by Board Member Jeffrey Mounts, and the board soon entered executive session to discuss staffing matters. Upon returning, two new hires were unanimously approved.

On a motion by Mounts, seconded by Laykon Graham, the board voted to hire Taylor Collum as the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach for the upcoming school year, in line with the district salary schedule.

In a second motion by Graham and seconded by Kara Tedford, the board also approved the hiring of Julie Collum as a paraprofessional, also for the 2025–2026 school year.

Both decisions received full board approval.
