Nashville Parks and Recreation awarded grant from Arkansas Heritage
The Nashville Parks and Recreation Commission met on Tuesday, June 18th. The park was awarded a grant from Arkansas Heritage for the amount of $20,000 with a match of $10,000 to cover the costs of repairs to the Legion hut. This money is to be used to repair the roof, replace the windows, paint the building, and repair the front steps of the building. The park is awaiting the job cost report regarding improvements to the T-Ball complex, soccer complex, and tennis courts. These improvements would include the purchase of lights and sidewalks for the t-ball complex, adding two light poles to the soccer complex, and replacing the wooden poles with metal poles at the tennis courts.
