Nashville Police Make Multiple Arrests in Separate Crime Incidents
The Nashville Police Department has made several significant arrests over the past few days in connection with theft and property crimes.
Stolen Keys Lead to Juvenile Arrest
On Friday, January 31, 2025, a set of keys was stolen from Scrapper Arena. The victim noticed the vehicle, still parked at the arena the following day, on Saturday, February 1. The car’s battery had been disabled by the owner in an effort to prevent further theft.
Nashville City Officers Hector Cortez and Jarrett Rogers conducted surveillance of the vehicle, monitoring the area as well as school cameras, until the suspect approached the car. The suspect, a 15-year-old juvenile, was arrested at the scene and transported to a juvenile detention center.
Vehicle Break-In Leads to Arrest of Cincinnati Man
On Sunday, February 2, 2025, Nashville City Officers Jarrett Rogers and Lt. Clinton Tedford responded to a report from Millwood Trucking regarding a black male wearing all red who had been seen breaking into vehicles. Officers quickly located the suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Ju’Kyle Barnett, a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Barnett was arrested on charges of Breaking or Entering, Attempted Theft of Property, and Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana). He was taken into custody without incident.
Credit Card Fraud Leads to Warrant for Arrest
In a third case, a warrant was issued on February 4, 2025, for Maurica Trammell, a 22-year-old woman from Mineral Springs, in connection with a felony Theft of Property charge involving credit card fraud. Investigator Tim Bowlin began investigating reports of fraudulent charges on several customer accounts and was able to trace the crimes back to Trammell.
Trammell, who was employed at Taco Bell in Nashville, had been photographing customers’ credit card numbers while they paid for their orders. She then used the stolen information to make unauthorized purchases.
The Nashville Police Department continues to investigate these cases and urges anyone with further information to come forward.
