Nashville School Board learns what district is doing about learning loss
Monday night during the regular meeting of the Nashville Board of Education, District Curriculum and Testing Coordinator introduced the district’s academic coaches. They are K-6 literacy – Krisanna Miller, K-6 math – Tessa Dean, 7-12 literacy – Holly Couch and 7-12 math – Lori Williams.
During a student discipline hearing, board members accepted Superintendent Doug Graham’s recommendation to expel an 8th grade male student for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year for violating school policy.
Graham also announced the total enrollment as of this month is 1,930. He said there are 604 students in the Nashville Primary School, 398 in the Nashville Elementary School, 465 in the Nashville Jr. High and 4643 in the high school. He said that means enrollment is up by 32 students from last year.
