Nashville Scrapper Fishing Team gearing up to hosts tournaments
The Nashville Scrapper Fishing Team is a bass fishing team that is offered for grades 7th through 12th. The team has competed in the Ark-La-Tex Bassmaster High School and Junior Fishing Trail which hosted tournaments at Caddo Hills, Millwood Lake, and Lake Dierks. They also competed in the Arkansas High School Bassers at Lake Greeson.
Coach Jimmy Easterling talked about what inspired him to start a fishing team for the Nashville School District and he also talked about how he wants the team to grow.
Easterling mentioned some of the stats the team has along with recognizing some of the team members and who can become a part of the Nashville Scrapper Fishing Team.
Easterling stated that they are going to start hosting their own tournaments for kids that live in Nashville and he took a moment to thank the sponsors as well.
Last week, Superintendent Doug Graham took time to recognize the Nashville Scrapper Fishing Team at the Nashville School Board meeting and gave the floor to Coach Easterling to talk about the team’s achievements during the Scrapper Moment.
