Nashville Scrappers suffer loss to Malvern Leopards in 48 – 34 defeat

The Scrappers found themselves trailing the Malvern Leopards 7 to nothing after the first play of the game but tied the score at 7 when Alex Mendeola punched it in from the 12-yard line.

Malvern scored the next 27 points to take a 34 to 13 lead but Sloan Perrin would score for the Scrappers with 1:19 remaining in the third quarter.

The Scrappers would score two more times in the fourth but could not catch the Leopards.

Nashville fell 48 to 34 to the number two team in the state, however, they secured the third seed from the 7-4A conference in the upcoming state playoffs.

Nashville will finish out the regular season this Friday on the road at Lonoke. The Jackrabbits lost to Stuttgart 35 to 32. Nashville will go into the final game of the season with a 6 and 3 overall record and 3 and 2.
