Nashville Superintendent Hoping For Grad Ceremony Later

With Governor Hutchinson’s announcement Monday that on-site learning for public school students will not happen again this school year, students are going to be missing a lot of activities. In addition to spring sports, other cancellations include the honor graduates banquet, awards assembly, the junior/senior prom and even graduation.

Nashville superintendent Doug Graham says he plans to ask that the school board allow for some type of graduation ceremony for the 2020 senior class, even if it’s held during the summer.

Graham says the senior high administration has begun working on class rankings for this year’s seniors.
