Nashville To Open Water Project Bids Next Week

Plans are moving forward on a water project in the city of Nashville. Bids are expected to be opened May 5th.

Public Works Director Larry Dunaway says the project will involve a couple different phases.

The city is also continuing to work on renovating the area below the Lake Nichols spillway. Last summer’s flood eroded some of the area immediately below the spillway. Work is estimated to be about 50 or 60 percent complete. City officials say the renovations functioned as designed during last Wednesday’s heavy rain event.
