New Coach & AD Named At UA Cossatot

UA Cossatot has a new head basketball coach for the men’s and women’s programs.

Robert Byrd was officially introduced yesterday.

He comes to the southwest Arkansas school from the University of St. Thomas in the Houston area where he served as an assistant coach the past two seasons. Prior to that, Byrd spent six years as head coach of the basketball program at Lone Star College-CyFair.

The new coach says Colts fans can look forward to seeing an uptempo style of game.

In addition to being the basketball coach at UA Cossatot, Byrd will also serve as athletic director.
