Newhope Man Arrested Following Search Revealing Firearms and Drugs
In a coordinated effort, agents with the Task Force and deputies from the Howard County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of a Newhope residence Tuesday, prompted by multiple complaints regarding suspected drug activity. The resident, who is currently on parole, was subject to an active search waiver as part of his parole conditions.
During the search, law enforcement officials uncovered nine firearms and a small quantity of marijuana. The man, identified as a convicted felon, was subsequently arrested and charged with illegal firearm possession. He has been transported to the Howard County Jail, where he faces charges related to his felon status and the firearms found at his home. The investigation remains ongoing.
