Newhope VFD 4th of July celebration is Monday

The Newhope Volunteer Fire Department’s annual 4th of July Celebration will be held Monday. Activities begin with  the serving of a traditional chicken dinner, featuring all the fixings, from noon until 6:30 p.m.  The cost of each meal is $7.

Live musical entertainment, with John Maines and Mason Jester, begins at 5:30 and will be followed by an auction at 7 o’clock.  Many items, donated by area businesses, will be available.  A drawing will also be held for a Blackstone Griddle and $500 dollars.  Tickets for those prizes are available from any member of the Newhope Fire Department.  Tickets will also be available at event on Monday.

The event will wrap up with a fireworks display at dark.
